A New Beginning . . .

What a 2020 it has been so far! We were delighted to say hello to our newest grandbaby, Callie Nicole in February. I can’t believe we have four grandkids now and I haven’t even hit my mid-40’s yet. I’ve now decided to take the plunge and open a booth in an antique/craft mall. I open officially April 1st at The Painted Tree in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Right now, I have been feverishly working on making products to getting the right permits. We have been trying to decide how to decorate and set-up the space which is a work in progress and making our sign with our logo. It’s a little bit rustic but still needs to be professional. I am super busy but so far enjoying it and look forward to the day I can do this full-time as my only job. I’m walking around with paint on my elbows and hair and stain between the fingernails. I got paint on my favorite jeans which have now officially become my “painting” jeans.

This week, the kids are on spring break so we went to Arkansas to visit family. I brought a ton of things to do and even had my mom, sister and daughter helping me to stain.  I’ve had to put some of the work on hold for a few days as we found out that Dad had a stroke over the weekend, and he lost some mobility but thankfully he is on the upswing. He may need to spend a week or two in rehab but things are looking promising for at least a partial recovery. Lots of prayers as the family deals with that and the opening of a new business.  I have tons of things left to do to finish up to get ready for the April 1st deadline.
