Well, I have had a dream for many, many years to take my creative talent and make it into a business. I’ve dragged my husband and kids along to craft shows and antique stores for many years. My kiddos love going “junking”. Although Wyatt tends to buying matchbox cars and Riley is looking for trendy bows or earrings, they still love the thrill of the hunt. I finally dove right in and started actively pursing making this dream into something real about a year and half ago. I started working on a logo (with the help of my big sis) and working on prototypes and products (with the help of my husband) and finally beginning May 15th, I will officially open The Cedar Farmhouse booth at Painted Tree Marketplace in North Richland Hills, Texas.
I, with assistance of my hubby, got the chance to actually put all our products in the booth and hang our sign recently and to say that we are proud is an understatement. We also are exhausted as we both have jobs and we are doing this after hours and on weekends to get everything done. It’s been fun, tiring and stressful but we finally got it all done. Here is the booth space in pictures. Enjoy!
My name is Melinda, and I am a wife, mom of 3 kids – two boys and one girl, grandmother to four little ones and lover of farmhouse style and making things. I’ve been creating handmade, unique items for your home, for gifts, for holidays, and for my family since I was a little girl. My passion for making things and repainting furniture has inspired me to create a business selling these unique products.
I have been repainting and repurposing furniture for home use and am now ready to take my unique style and create great furniture for you.
